Our overseas wedding celebrations were fairly complicated in that it involved several events over the course of a few days and it started out very much a DIY wedding in the French fairy tale chateau we had chosen. Leo came on board after we had picked the venue and was invaluable in sourcing all the local French suppliers – the band in particular were fantastic, advising on costs and liaising with vendors in the lead up as well as on the day. He was also a great bridge between me and the venue, especially when the venue owner was being difficult about accommodating some of our requests. Leo is Canadian and French and his ability to communicate with our local suppliers was critical to the success of our celebrations; he even translated for us during one of the ceremonies as the celebrant didn’t speak English. Leo understood my vision for the day and he and his assistant managed the events so that the big day was stress free, allowing us to fully enjoy every moment. The weather was a potential issue at one point but he was able to pull the ceremony timing forward to ensure we were able to do everything we wanted outside before the rain came. The wedding dinner tables were laid out beautifully and he and his assistant personally ironed and placed all the napkins and tablecloths in the way I wanted. After the celebrations, Leo was instrumental in positively resolving a dispute with the venue over some alleged damage. Hannah and Musa

We knew we would need professional help to pull together a three-day celebration at a château in the Loire Valley, bringing together our nearest and dearest from across continents to finally say “I do.” From our very first meeting, there was an immediate rapport. We felt comfortable sharing our visions and addressing the gaps in our planning—something that can feel quite overwhelming! Leo made us feel at ease every step of the way. My partner and I always wanted to get married in a Chateau in France. We had planned to plan this ourselves and keep the budget relatively low, but we soon found out that it is very difficult to plan a wedding, nevermind a wedding in a different country. Thankfully we found Leo. He was everything we could have wished for and more. Leo was so organised, created a great design for the wedding, ensured all was properly planned and running smoothly, and thought of so many cost saving ideas we actually saved some even considering his fee. He was hands on throughout our journey and it meant that the stress of the wedding was taken away and we could enjoy the lead up to our big day. We had regular video calls in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding and Leo spent the days before our wedding at the venue making sure everything went according to plan. Leo even thought of things we never would have thought of and he helped us on the day by making food, setting up tables and making sure our guests were where they needed to be. Leo planned the perfect French wedding weekend in our countryside home this summer, making sure that our international guests were accommodated for and looked after all weekend long. He really understood our vision, and listened to our needs with a warm open mind. Nothing was a problem and, as with any big event when eventualities popped up, he dealt with them quickly and most importantly calmly, helping us keep cool and confident in the process, especially considering we were planning a wedding from abroad!

A year before our wedding, our parents gifted us a wedding planner, since we are both based in Australia and the wedding would take place in Montreal.
